My crappy cover art

I'm one step below novice in photoshop, but I thought I should make something resembling a book cover for my NaNoWriMo project. Here it is! Aren't you proud of me--I put a text box on an image...I wish I could find a way to make the O's vinyl records that say "Moon Records". That would be cool! Edit: Found it! Working on better versions.

Ok, this is kind of what I want. What I'd like to do, is put crinkled up music paper on top with the title in black font, but I haven't figured out how to do that yet.

Still not perfect, but I think it's kinda cool. It's just too square. I need to figure out how to put the torn part up more. I'm learning. Slowly.

I'm not sure what's going on here but I like the font!

What is this cover for? I'm slightly confused. :(

It took me forever to find a good font. The little discs are actually the letter K in a webdings type font lol

Nanowrimo is national novel writing month. The idea, is to write at least a 50k word first draft in 30 days. You can upload stuff to your nano page and one item is a cover for you "book" so I'm working on one today. I haven't started writing this one yet, but it's been an idea I've played with for some time.

You've got a hot picture here! I would go with number one. If not number one, then number three. The font in number two just looks fuzzy to me.

I want to do something like #3 but better. I'm just photoshop illiterate. It's just for fin, so I'm not too concerned. It's not like it's going to be printed.

I love the photo though, it's perfect for Jenna! Glad I found it. If I ever do get this book under contract, I think I'll use it in the trailer.
